Dress Watch

Back in the late 70's, Heuer put together a moonphase movement based on the valjoux 7734. The movement, plus a moonphase wheel, dial and case were intended for an Abercrombie & Fitch watch. A number of these watches were made before Abercrombie & Fitch went bankrupt in 1977, but most of the movements and parts were left in Heuer's inventory. These movements, dials and cases were, over time, purchased by a few other watch brands like Daniel Lagrange, Alfred Rochart & Fils, and Tissot. Tissot used this movement in their 130th anniversary watch in 1983.

Date
A feature that displays the current day of the month, typically in a small window on the dial, commonly placed at the 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock position.
Open Case Back
A transparent case back that allows the wearer to view the movement of the watch, showcasing the intricate mechanics inside.
Automatic
A watch powered by automatic (self-winding) movement that doesn't require a battery. It winds itself using the daily usage motion of the wearer's wrist.
